Scrapping & Swimming!!

It's  hot, hot, hot here on the coast. We have had above normal temperatures for the past week. Thank goodness I have a pool, it might be small but it does the job. I am going to finish all of my cards I started while at Marcia's.
Here are some finished cards:

This is a fold out card. I used the Hello Kitty Cricut cartridge, some patterned paper I can't remember where I purchased & various cardstock papers.

Close up.

One of my Thanksgiving cards from last year's class. I used Close to My Heart cardstock & patterned paper. The pumpkin stamp came from the dollar bin at Joann's, the other two stamps came from different sets I have.

I made  this card using Close to My Heart paper & stamps.

Again Close to My Heart supplies.

This is one of my new Fall cards. The small patterned paper is from Close to My Heart.  The larger paper is from BoBunny. The stamps are from two different sets.

Well I'm off to the pool & work.

4th of July Cards, Wreath & Bunting

After creating for three days & running errands yesterday I am catching up on my chores. Luckily the horrible hot humid weather has disappeared. I will post a few pics of July 4th cards, wreath & bunting I made.

I used the 4th of July Cricut cartridge for the medallion.

I still like to make my own printed paper using stamps.

More stamping.

I saw this wreath on Pinterest & HAD to make it.

Do you like my new door color?

I dusted off my sewing machine to make this bunting.

I sprayed stiff starch on the burlap then ironed. This prevents fraying while cutting. Then I sewed the edges & zigzag stitched the flag on the burlap.

Another Cricut image from the 4th of July cartridge.

Sorry for the crooked photo.

Have a great day.

Day 3 of Weekend Crop

Today is the last day, sniff sniff. I have made 26 cards so far & have designed two more. I am also starting on a 4th of July mini album. I LOVE being productive.
I am posting a few pictures.

This Fall card is made with vellum circles & a small leaf.

This is a close up of the Fall card.

I copied the same card but used different colors of vellum.

Close up.

I will post more as I finish.

Day 1 of a 3 day crop at Marcia's

I'm home, feeling quite accomplished & tired. It is now 10:55 p.m & I have been going since 4:30 a.m. After doing some housework & running errands I finished two wreaths, cleaned my office, did some laundry and filing.
My friend, Marcia, turned her garage into a craft room & is hosting a weekend crop. Her craft room is incredible!! Pics tomorrow.  I didn't have anything planned to work on at Marcia's, so I just threw a bunch of stuff in my bags & off I went. I made 2 cards & cut out all the pieces for 24 more. Tomorrow I will post pictures of the cards.
Here are the two wreaths I finished today:

This cute summer wreath I made is for an upcoming birthday party.

This is the birthday wreath I finished today. The words are covered with blue glitter.

I've Come Up for Air!!

It's been too long since I have posted anything, embarrassingly so. This year has been very busy for our household. It all started in January when I quit my job & started my business. Then my youngest son turned 13 in February, my hubby's bday was in March, my middle son turned 16 in April, My bday is in May, my oldest son graduated from high school & turned 18 in June. July brought my 20th wedding anniversary and in August we will be travelling to Oregon for my cousin's wedding. Not to mention all of the time, blood, sweat & tears I have put into building Our Craft Den. Phew!! I am tired just writing it down. For the past few days I have taken photos of nearly all my craft projects. I will be posting them over the next month.

Have a great evening!
